# Connect your Freshservice data to Geckoboard

Steps to connect directly to Freshservice to access your data.

1. After adding a new **Freshservice** widget from your dashboard, give your connection a name to differentiate it from any accounts you add later on.

2. Next, enter your **API key** and **Subdomain**. These are required by Geckoboard to access your **Freshservice** account. You can create an API token by [following the documentation](https://api.freshservice.com/#authentication). For the subdomain, enter the subdomain you use to connect to Freshservice. For example, _mycompany_ if your Freshservice url is _mycompany.freshservice.com_.
