2. On the new copy that appears, hover over the top right of your widget, click the ellipsis, then click **Edit**.

To change the layout of widgets on the dashboard, we can [move and resize widgets or group them together](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/6055766-arrange-widgets-on-a-dashboard) to make the relationship between data clearer. Here's how:

- Move widgets with drag-and-drop; a box will appear indicating where you can drop the widget.
- Resize widgets by hovering, then clicking and dragging one of the sides to change the height or width.
- Group widgets by dragging and dropping a widget onto another to create a group.

## **Explore advanced features**

### **Compare metrics on the same visualization**

The [Compare metric feature](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/6055747-compare-different-metrics-within-the-same-line-chart) allows you to add multiple metrics to a single chart, showcasing relationships and highlighting trends. For example, you can compare Total users versus New users.

### **Compare against data from a previous period**

On Number and Line chart visualizations, you can compare the current period to the previous period and display the change as an exact value or percentage. This may be useful if you want to compare Today to the Same day last week or Yesterday.

### **Bucket your data with Split by**

With the [Split by functionality](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/6055724-use-split-by-to-break-up-data-within-the-same-chart) on line and column charts, you can break data out into groups of your choice.

### **Set Goals and Status indicators**

[Set target goals](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/6055737-add-goals-to-number-widgets) to track progress and [add status indicators](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/6055745-create-visual-alerts-with-status-indicators) for quick visual feedback. Customize your widgets to highlight metrics in green or red, depending on whether values meet your predefined targets.

### **Use Drilldown to investigate the data behind your widgets**

You can use [Drilldown and Source data](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/7203792-use-drilldown-and-source-data-to-investigate-the-data-behind-your-widgets) to see what’s driving your metrics. Quickly review the root cause behind changes in your data so you can take action.
