# Display Google Alerts on a RSS/Atom Feed widget

Steps to create a Google Alert and display updates on a RSS/Atom Feed widget.

June 21, 2022

By creating a [Google Alert](https://www.google.com/alerts), you can get notifications any time Google finds new results on a topic that interests you. For example, you could get updates about a product you like, find out when people post something about you on the web, or keep up with news stories.

For help creating your alerts, please refer to [Google's guide here](https://support.google.com/alerts/answer/4815782?hl=en).

1. Create your Google Alert with the required configuration and set _Deliver to_ to **RSS Feed**.

2. Copy your alert's RSS feed URL using the RSS icon.

3. Switch to Geckoboard and create a **RSS/Atom Feed** widget. Paste your URL into the **RSS/Atom feed url** field.

4. Click Add widget when you're ready. Learn more about [configuring the RSS/Atom Feed widget](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/6055544-add-an-rss-atom-feed-widget-to-your-dashboard).
