# Connect your Jira Cloud project data in Geckoboard

Steps to connect directly to Jira to add data from your Jira projects to your dashboard.

1. Add a new **Jira Cloud** widget from your dashboard.

2. Select the widget type. In this example, we'll select the **Number of Issues** widget type.

3. In the connection panel, click the **Connect via Jira Cloud** button. Follow the steps to create a connection and authenticate your account.

4. Once authenticated, you'll be taken to the widget configuration screen.
