Create multiple series charts using spreadsheets

Learn how to add multiple series of data to line and column charts using data from spreadsheets.

In this guide, we'll cover how to create line or column charts from your spreadsheet that have multiple series of data.

Create multi-series line chart widgets

  1. After connecting your spreadsheet to Geckoboard, click and drag to select the cells you want to visualize.

  2. Line chart widgets require at least:

    1. 1 date, string (for X-axis labels), or numeric column
    2. 1 other numeric column

  3. By default, Geckoboard reads the data in columns, so if your data series is arranged in rows, click Switch rows and columns.

  4. Make any changes needed for the configuration and then click Save.

Create multi-series column chart widgets

  1. After connecting your spreadsheet to Geckoboard, click and drag to select the cells you want to visualize.

  2. Column chart widgets require at least:

    1. 1 date, string, or numeric column
    2. 1 other numeric column
