# Change your Geckoboard password

If you cannot locate your saved password, it may be necessary to reset your password using our password reset process.

## Change your password

To change your Geckoboard password if you're already logged in:

1. In Geckoboard, click on your initials in the top right hand corner.
2. From the drop-down, select Account. This will open up the **Account details** screen.
3. Beside Password, click **Change password**.
4. Enter your new password twice to confirm. Your password must be at least 6 characters long. Then click **Save** password.

## Reset your password

To reset your Geckoboard password if you're not logged in:

1. Go to the [sign in page](https://app.geckoboard.com/login).
2. Below the Password field, click **Forgot your password?**
3. On the next page, enter your Email address. Make sure it's the same one you used to sign up for Geckoboard!
4. Click **Send reset instructions**.
5. Check your email inbox for a new message from Geckoboard.
6. In the password reset email, click **Reset Your Password**. Enter your new password twice to confirm. Your password must be at least 6 characters long. Then click **Change Password**.
