# Delete a dashboard widget

Steps to permanently remove a widget from your dashboard.

1. Hover your mouse pointer over a dashboard widget and click the **⋮** **three dots icon**.

2. Click **Delete**.

3. Select **Delete** to confirm. This action can't be undone.

**Note:** The connection between your Geckoboard account and the service will remain intact. To remove a service entirely, see [connections](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/6055522-connect-to-a-data-source).
