# Switch between dashboards using links

Navigate from one Geckoboard dashboard to another using a combination of share links and the Text widget.

Using dashboard share links and the Text widget, you can create a link to click and [switch from one dashboard to another](https://share.geckoboard.com/dashboards/NGCQZQ54W335SRH7).

Text widgets support [Markdown formatting](https://support.geckoboard.com/en/articles/6055637-use-the-text-widget-to-display-text-on-your-dashboard#h_494806bcf8), allowing you to create clickable links and other formatting changes.

## How to setup links

1. From your dashboard, click **Share**.
2. In the **Share** modal, click **Create Share link**.
3. Click the ellipsis, then select **Copy** to copy the link.
4. Next, **add a Text widget** to your dashboard.
5. In the 'Message 1' field, create a [Link](https://www.markdownguide.org/basic-syntax/#links) element and use the share link you just copied.

## Example formatting

If you want the dashboard link to open in the same tab, use this link format:
