# Google Analytics 4 has replaced Universal Analytics

Make the switch to Google Analytics 4 to visualize your data in Geckoboard.

As of [July 2024](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/11583528), Google has stopped processing data for Universal Analytics (UA), and the service has been fully replaced with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

If you haven't already, we recommend [creating a GA4 property](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9744165?sjid=6282693190272561288-EU). Then, you'll be able to connect with Geckoboard and begin visualizing new data going forward.

If you're not sure whether you have a property set up already or if you were using UA in the past, it's possible that [Google created a property automatically.](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/12938611#switchproperty&zippy=%2Cin-this-article) You'll want to review your Google Analytics account to determine this.
