# Bring your Chargebee data into Geckoboard using ChartMogul

Connect ChartMogul to your Chargebee account, then use our pre-built ChartMogul integration to display your Chargebee data in Geckoboard.

While we don't directly integrate with Chargebee, you can bring your Chargebee data into Geckoboard using [ChartMogul](https://chartmogul.com/).

Within ChartMogul you can connect to your Chargebee account, and then you can use our pre-built ChartMogul integration to display your Chargebee data in Geckoboard. ChartMogul offers a [free plan](https://chartmogul.com/pricing/) for accounts with less than $10k MRR.

# Step 1: Creating a read-only API key in Chargebee

ChartMogul uses API keys to connect to Chargebee. They recommend creating a read-only API key in Chargebee to grant ChartMogul access to your Chargebee account. [Learn more](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/2.0/api_keys.html).

1. In Chargebee, navigate to **_Settings_** _\> **Configure Chargebee** \> **API keys**_.
2. Click **\+ Add API Key**.
3. Select **Read-Only Key**.
4. Grant the key **All** permissions.
5. Name the key, e.g., ChartMogul Read-only.
6. Click **Create Key**.

You'll need your new API key when adding Chargebee as a source in ChartMogul.

# Step 2: Connecting Chargebee to your ChartMogul account

1. In ChartMogul, navigate to **_Data Platform > Sources_**.
2. Click **Add a source**.

3. From the list of data sources, select **Chargebee**.
4. Enter a name for the data source and click **Next**.

5. Paste your Chargebee subdomain (the `mycompany` part of `mycompany.chargebee.com`) into the **Chargebee Subdomain** field.
6. Paste the API key you created into the **Chargebee API Key** field.
7. Click **Import Data** to connect Chargebee to ChartMogul and import your data.
8. Wait for your Chargebee data to import into ChartMogul. This process can take a few minutes to several hours, depending on how much data you have.
9. Once the data is imported, ChartMogul will update automatically with any new activity from Chargebee.

# **Step 3: Connecting your Chargebee data to Geckoboard using ChartMogul**

1. After adding a new ChartMogul widget from your dashboard, enter your **API Key**. You'll find this on [ChartMogul's API Admin page](https://dev.chartmogul.com/docs/authentication).

2. Click **Connect** and authorize Geckoboard to access your account.
