Easily report historical performance (Facebook Ads, Google Search Console, YouTube, Matomo)

You can now build widgets that report on performance over a historical time period, using new time filters that have been added to our Facebook Ads, Google Search Console, YouTube and Matomo data sources, as well as Zendesk Support.

Unlike our standard time filters (such as today, past 7 days, this month etc), which allow metrics to evolve based on current and future data, our new time filters cover periods of time that have already elapsed; yesterday, last week and last month.

This opens up many possibilities for creating regular reports that wrap up how things have gone over the past day, week or month - particularly handy when using email and Slack snapshots!

Added map visualization and ‘Contains / does not contain’ filter to GA4

Our Google Analytics 4 data source now includes a map visualization, allowing you to see where current visitors to your website are located at a national, regional or global level.

We’ve also added two highly-requested filters to most other GA4 metrics - “contains” and “does not contain” - making it easier to dial your GA4 widgets in to monitor the specific parts of your website you’re interested in.

REMINDER: On July 1st 2023, Google will no longer process data on Universal Google Analytics properties. If you haven’t already, we strongly recommend following Google’s instructions for updating tracking pin your website, and replacing Google analytics widgets on your Geckoboard dashboards with GA4 equivalents.
